Giving Back
We are almost halfway through 2026 and the end of financial year is fast approaching.
As we approach the end of financial year, I wanted to share with you some fundraising efforts by fantastic community organisations in our community.
These groups operate in our local area and provide fantastic support across a number of areas including health, homelessness, social services, Domestic and Family Violence, the environment, and the arts.

Zig Zag Young Women's Resource Centre
ZZYWRC provides healing, support and social action to end sexual violence and housing injustice in Brisbane. ZZ supports young women, trans and gender diverse people aged 12 to 25 years. Their main office is located in Camp Hill.
World Wellness Group
Operating out of the Gabba, WWG provides multicultural health and wellbeing services whilst advocating for systemic change within the health system with a vision of health equity for all. WWG believes that everyone has a right to accessible and appropriate health care regardless of who they are.
Stepping Stone Club House
Stepps is a membership-based community of people with a mental illness who are dedicated to rebuilding their lives. Stepping Stone operates two clubhouses in Brisbane, one on the Northside and one right here in Stones Corner.
MND and Me Foundation
MND and Me Foundation is a Coorparoo-based charity that believes no Queenslander should face Motor Neurone Disease (MND) alone. They work on both supporting those diagnosed with MND and raising money towards finding a cure.
Small Steps 4 Hannah
The Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation exists to HALT the cycle of domestic and family violence. It was created by the Clarke family after the loss of their daughter Hannah and grandchildren to DFV. It's mission is to harness the community to HALT domestic violence.
Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation
Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation is a non-profit organisation offering wellbeing mentoring programs for young people facing challenges, emerging student leaders and job seekers. It's mission is to mentor, support, and inspire people in our local communities to move their lives onwards and upwards.
Norman Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee
The N4C aims to protect and enhance the ecosystem of Brisbane's Norman Creek Catchment. N4C coordinates bushcare groups across our local area at places such as Bowie's Flat, Arnwood Place, Glindemann Park and Hanlon Park/Bur'uda.
Coorparoo School of Arts and Memorial Hall
The Coorparoo School of Arts and Memorial Hall was established in 1892 and hosts regular community groups and activities each week. As a heritage building, it requires ongoing maintenance and restoration to be able to continue servicing our community.
