Fun for all the family at Seville Road
Seville Road State School will again play host to Joe Kelly MP’s and the school’s P&C Queensland Day Family Fun Day.
The event celebrates Queensland’s 160 years as a state with music, art stalls, local bands, games for kids and is open to the local community.
Joe Kelly MP started the event in 2016 after noticing the lack of community events for significant days in the local area and also to build community.
“Apart from some really significant days such as ANZAC day, there were not many events directly involving the local community in our local area, which is why I started this.”
“This is a great event to come along to as it’s centred on this great school community, and encourages others from our wider community to come together and celebrate.”
Seville Road State School Principal Karen Kuskey says she has seen the event getting bigger each year encourages all locals to come along.
“Since Joe started this event a few years ago, we have watched the event grow,” said Ms. Kuskey.
“This year we are supporting The Smith Family who support our school throughout the year.”
The Family Fun Day will take place on June 8th from 10am – 3pm and is open to everyone. There will be food, live bands, jumping castle and activities organised by the Scouts, Guides and local sporting clubs.
