About Joe Kelly
Joe Kelly is the State Member for Greenslopes. He has represented our local community since 2015, and lives in Greenslopes with his wife and two daughters. Joe grew up in regional Queensland living in Charters Towers and Townsville, moving to Brisbane to become a nurse at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Joe and his family have lived in Greenslopes for over 25 years, being deeply involved in our community including being part of the Greenslopes State School P&C, supporting the Coorparoo School of Arts and Memorial Hall, and recently being Chair of SPELD (supporting all Queenslanders experiencing learning differences to realise their full potential).
Joe works tirelessly to help people who live in the suburbs of Greenslopes, Coorparoo, Stones Corner, Holland Park, Holland Park West, Camp Hill and Mt Gravatt be heard in the Queensland Parliament.
Joe has served as Chair of the Parliamentary Ethics Committee, and previously as Chair of the Agriculture and Environment Committee during the introduction of plastic bag bans in Queensland. He has championed legislative reform to deliver nurse-to-patient ratios ensuring better health outcomes for all Queenslanders, and supporting investment in our future energy needs.
Joe is passionate about our local community and has stood by his early campaign slogan of "building community" in all activities. He is proud to represent a part of Brisbane that is vibrant, exciting and with a bright future.
